DTF stands for Direct to Film. It is a printing technique that transfers designs from a special film on fabrics, glass, and other items.
DTF printing is a process that prints designs on a film. The designs are then heat-pressed on different surfaces to create high-quality and durable prints.
DTF transfer is the technique to transfer the design to any material using heat and pressure.
DTF works well on many surfaces, like cotton and dark fabrics. But sublimation works best for white polyester fabrics. UV DTF uses UV light instead of heat to apply designs on hard surfaces.
DTF printing is cost-effective. It allows a variety of designs to be printed on many surfaces, like cotton, polyester, wood, and mugs. It's quite useful in small businesses, and personal projects.
DTF heat press is the process of applying a DTF transfer on any surface with heat and pressure to paste a design clearly.
To create DTF transfers, print the artwork on a DTF film using a DTF printer and apply sticky powder. The transfer is then printed on the required surface.
Place the transfer on the surface, cover it with thin paper, and press with a heat press for 12–15 seconds. Maintaining a sensible temperature for different stuff, like 165°C for cotton and 160°C for polyester, is good for the best results. Peel the film after cooling.
Yes, an iron can be used if a heat press is not available. Place the transfer on the fabric, cover it with thin paper, and press firmly with the iron for 12–15 seconds for fine printing.
UV DTF wraps are transfer designs with UV light instead of heat. UV light is suitable for hard surfaces like glass or plastic. Place the wrap on the surface. Set it under UV light, and then peel off the covering.
A heat press is a machine that applies heat and pressure to transfer designs on different surfaces. It is used for DTF, sublimation, and vinyl transfers.
DTF inks are special inks for DTF printing that create bright and durable designs on transfer film. These inks work best on different surfaces like fabric, wood, or glass.
Wash DTF garments with lukewarm water at 30-40°C. Avoid the use of a spinner to get them dry, and turn the garment inside out. Avoid ironing directly on the transfer.
